The patented Welch Tuning System™ (WTS) hardware provides anyone building or rebuilding their drums everything they need to outfit their shells with the most user-friendly and innovative drum tensioning system on the market. A system of pulleys and cable tensions both heads with the turn of a single handle; no more tension rods, no more drum key!
 
Whether you are a seasoned drum builder looking to expand your hardware options, or a drummer building your own personal kit, your choice of hardware is an important one. Instead of installing the same old tube lugs that are on every other custom build, set your drums apart with the revolutionary WTS hardware.
 
Installation Requirements:
• 7.5” minimum shell depth
• 8” minimum shell diameter
• 24”x14” maximum shell size
• 2.3mm triple-flanged hoops for toms (Do not use 1.6mm hoops. Hoops not included.)
• WTS die-cast hoops for snare drums (Do not use triple-flanged hoops for snare drums.)

Professional Installation Required: Precise layout and drilling is required. It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that WTS be installed by a professional. We are not responsible for any problems or damage due to incorrect drilling and installation.
 
Limited Liability: It is the responsibility of the owner to install WTS only on drum shells that are strong enough to support the torque loads of the Welch Tuning System (WTS). We are not liable for any damage to drum shells.
 
Not Designed for Retrofit: The WTS hardware is designed for NEW DRUM BUILDS ONLY. This is NOT a retrofit kit. Why? Every drum brand installs hardware in different places on the shell (tom mounts, bass drum spurs, floor tom brackets, etc). Therefore, it is possible that any one of those pieces of hardware could potentially interfere with the cable path of the WTS system. We do not guarantee compatibility on any drum set that has already been drilled for hardware, including tension rod casings, floor tom leg brackets, tom mounting brackets, and bass drum spurs.
 
If you want to outfit a previously drilled drum set with WTS, we recommended that all hardware be removed, all lug holes be filled, and the WTS hardware installed prior to re-drilling for tom brackets and bass spurs to ensure non-WTS hardware does not interfere with the path of the WTS cable.

No Returns: We back our WTS hardware with a 1-year warranty to be free from manufacturing defects. We do not accept returns or any liability for improper installation, compatibility issues with other brands of drums, damage to your shells, or any other reason. We highly recommend professional installation of WTS hardware. Purchase of any WTS hardware indicates that buyer understands and agrees to all policies, disclaimers, and installation requirements.
