What a treat to play the WTS kit at our Relix Studio Livestream session! The innovative one-point tuning system made my prep for the show a breeze and the drum tones themselves were clear and buttery at every pitch I explored. Plus this kit just looks really cool. WTS is the Tesla of the drum industry. WTS drums are the true realization of innovation. I have always desired an instrument that allowed me to achieve self contained perfection in tuning, effortless flexibility and top notch craftsmanship. WTS has been all of that and more. My productivity and the sound quality that my drums yield have gone through the roof both in the studio and on stage. They are also one heck of a conversation starter with sound engineers and other musicians because the design is so understated and elegant yet so incredibly effective and easy to operate. WTS drums have become an extension of my creativity.

When I first sat behind a set of Welch Tuning Systems I was immediately impressed by the clever pulley-like design holding the tension on the heads. When it came time to tune the drums I instinctively went to grab my drum key then laughed, remembering the single source tuning system and was pleased with the tones 45 seconds later.

These drums were so fun to play! I've never experienced anything quite like them. I could change my tuning during a song if I wanted to. They seem like they could be the ultimate drums for backline on a festival stage. Each drummer would be able to dial in their preferred tuning in seconds.

WTS drums are life changing. They allow me to effortlessly change the sound of my drums to better fit the musical situation -- whether it be a specific genre, recording mix, or simply the sound in my head. They add a whole new dimension to my drumming.

The best part about WTS drums is that they sound great at any tuning! The drums are so versatile, one kit is all you need. I love how the shells sound at any pitch!

I am really happy that I bought one of these drum sets! It was definitely worth to make it travel all over to Berlin, Germany! It arrived safe and perfectly packed! The first recording during a live session on the German radio was great. It sounded super warm which I was really looking for. And like everyone says the tuning system works perfectly and well lets also mention that it is the most beautiful drum set I ever owned. This instrument is very special and different from what is out there!

What can I say? If I could speak all the languages in the world, it still would not be enough to describe how amazing this drum set is. Even better... Sam and Laura are genuine and good people. You will not find a better group, top to bottom. They have the best product, hands down, but their care and dedication some how rivals the gravity of this amazing drum set. There’s so many things this drum set can do, that your regular lug kit cannot. You think your are limited to single tuning? Wrong. Different ply heads can get you the sound you want... and you can tune on the fly! Resonance? This kit has it in spades. Fewer holes in the shell means sonic heaven. Remove all the lugs... that’s where you’re at: sonic heaven. Did I mention instant tuning? If I was so inclined - and often I am - I tune the kit to the key of the song. In seconds! Speaking of tuning... the WTS is quicker to handle than your traditional lug shell. I find it quicker to replace the top and bottom head with the WTS, than a traditional lug and key. My unboxing reaction: When I first got the kit, I was sure the toms would be my absolute favorite part. They are amazing. Everything I hoped they would be... but the kick blew my mind. It’s shallower than your standard with more depth and punch. The snare... even better. I’ve never had a wood snare play so well in live settings. This thing cuts like it’s made or aluminum, but has the warmth you expect from maple. What more can I say? Lots... but I will only say this: You need to track this kit down and sit behind it. Your ears need to hear and your body needs to feel. Then you will truly understand what your mind is thinking already - AMAZING! Every drummer needs one. Every studio is worthless without one. When I first met the guys at WTS at NAMM 2019 and played the Artistry Series Snare - I was blown away. I am the Music Director at 12Stone Church in Atlanta, GA. We have 8 campuses, a studio, and several other venues that completely use volunteer musicians. While we love our volunteers, we don't have many pro level musicians with expert tuning and drum tech experience. The ability to take the complexity out of tuning drums for us was super intriguing to me. We now own 3 Artistry snares! They're amazing. The hype is real! Its a bit tricky and laborious to find your perfect top and bottom head combo to acquire your sound, but once you do, and master the art of changing their heads, the rest is simple. The best, purest, versatile crack there is. You can hear everything that is great about this snare and all the options that come with it with the simple cranking of the tensioner. We use these snares exclusively both for our live broadcast and in the studio. Couldn't be more pleased. Sam is the man too! Super great customer service! Get one... or 8... you won't be sorry.

The Welch Tuning System is such an innovation for drumming. I'm always keyed into being able to create certain sounds for different approaches and with WTS I can quickly tune the drums on the fly to really wide ranges. I can go from a punchy, dry hip-hop kit to a loose swampy blues kit literally within seconds of tuning with the Welch system. Plus, the drums overall have a solid wooden tone, which is gorgeous. I had not bought a new drum in about 20 years because nothing really excited me. But I bought these last year because they absolutely blew me away.

Welch Tuning Systems is an absolute game changer. WTS is what you get when you modernize vintage technology to maximize a full drum tone all the way around the kit. Tuning a kit in 30 seconds was completely unheard of in the music industry until now, and I'm proud to say the opportunity to work on the forefront with this family-oriented tight-knit company is staggering.
